Al-Zallal

In the heart of Diriyah, where the land intertwines with memory, Al-Zallal once served as one of Diriyah’s eastern gateways, its open grounds welcomed the footsteps of travelers and caravans. In time, it became a field of resilience, witness to heroic battles of the brave men of the First Saudi State. The area earned its name from the slope overlooking the plain, where camels once appeared to “glide” down toward Wadi Hanifah, a scene shaped by the land itself and preserved in local memory.
